The Kinetronics© StaticVac uses an electronic ‘bipolar’ ionizing system. This is a self-contained DC system that produces both positive and negative ions for complete static elimination. This machine will clean all film sizes up to 70mm (2 ¾") including 35mm, 120, and APS.

The cleaning process begins as the film is passed through the StaticVac. The ionization system eliminates the static on the film, and then the gentle StaticWisk^TM brushes whisk dust and lint off the film. The vacuum action draws the dust and lint into the foam filter. There are three special mounting systems available that have been designed for use with digital minilabs.

The StaticVac construction includes a durable steel cabinet and top quality components. The hinged hood allows for fast and simple maintenance. StaticWisk brushes are easily removed for routine cleaning.

Thousands of StaticVac film cleaners are in daily use throughout the world; known as an industry standard for reliability and top quality film cleaning.

The StaticVac has been tested, listed and is certified by UL, cUL, and CE for safety and for EMC (electro magnetic compatibility). Machines are shipped with 10 extra filters and 8 mounting magnets. StaticVac is sold with a two-year warranty.

Mounting Systems for Digital Minilabs

Kinetronics Corporation has designed three new mounting systems for the StaticVac Model SV-4120 / SV-4220 anti-static film cleaning machines. These systems have been specially engineered for mounting the film cleaner onto the Fuji Frontier, Noritsu 2711 Series, and a suction-cup suitable for special applications and area where a magnet may interfere with a scanner.

The mounting base for the Fuji Frontier is made from steel and finished with durable powder coat paint. It mounts on the feed bin and uses one of the rollers located on the bin. The film feeds through the StaticVac for cleaning prior to scanning and is positioned out of the way when the film is returned to the bin. The mount provides for correct alignment so that the film-cleaning machine can be adjusted for different sized film.

A special mounting stand for the StaticVac has been designed for use with the new Noritsu 2711 digital lab. This small stand is made of steel and finished with durable powder coat paint. The film cleaner slides into the stand and positions the machine at the correct angle for feeding the film into the scanner. The entire stand can be moved or repositioned easily.

A vacuum mount for the StaticVac is now available for use when locating the film cleaner on critical scanners or other special locations. This mount is ‘pumped’ with a small plunger to create a vacuum in the cup under the machine. It is best suited for use on smooth surfaces. It raises the height of the film cleaner 1 5/8"or 42mm.
